Because of our mission and purpose is to bring hope, love, and healing to young people and their families, it is of great importance that we endeavor at all times to build our team with people with great character. To maintain these standards, we must ask all applicants to be prepared to subject themselves to certain personal, employment, and criminal background checks. We do not disqualify simply because of having a past. We will look at every case on an individual basis and if actions are of current lifestyle, a pattern that has not ended, or if it is part of your past. If you feel this is your past please help us see this by being honest about your past and what has made your life different! The teen center is all about redemption and empowering every individual!

I understand that the Teen Center is a sober facility as many of our teens live in worlds affected by trauma and abuse of substances, due to this we place sober living as a high priority. Our volunteers agree to not glorify drinking, smoking, vaping, and the partying lifestyle. Volunteers also agree to a life free of illegal substances. If suspected, an UA will be given on the spot. This includes smelling like substances such as marijuana and alcohol. As a volunteer it is your job to be a healthy role model and help our teens have support in living a life outside of this lifestyle.

Questions and Scenarios

All applicants will be required to go through a training that includes mandated reporting laws, child abuse and neglect, discipline, safety and regulations, and mental health and trauma prior to working with teens. Below is to gather knowledge and a general understanding of how you may interact with teenagers. We do not expect you to know all of our guidelines and regulations and will train if you are a good fit for the position applying for.
